Protection against bumps and dings, 10.7.2010

The best thing about this sleeve is that TSA lets you leave your laptop in it to go through the airport xray. And its snug enough that I can fit the computer in the sleeve into the special slot for it in my carry-on. My four year old MacBook Pro looks like new becaus it lives in or on this case. You do have to take the computer out of the sleeve to use it. But it works as lap insulation aginst the hot-running Mac, or protection if the computer needs to sit on a rough surface. And it can serve as a mouse pad if the pattern isn't too wild, There are no outside pockets, so you need another way to carry cords. But the only reason for four stars instead of five is because a couple inches of zipper have parted from the neoprene -- an easy repair, but still points off for quality control.
