Built Warranty Terms


1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY. BUILT products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase through builtny.com or an authorized BUILT reseller. Any piece found to be defective under normal use and care will be replaced at no charge with the same product (or functionally equivalent product, if the same product is not available) for a period of up to one year from the original date of purchase from builtny.com or an authorized reseller.

The warranty applies only to the normal use of a product in accordance with any written use instructions provided with the product or available at builtny.com. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, or modification of the product. The warranty does not cover damage to device(s) or property as a result of the use of any BUILT product. The warranty does not apply to BUILT products that are not purchased in new condition or any non-BUILT product, even if packaged or sold with the product.

Product replacements are only covered by the warranty of initial purchase and do not extend the length of warranty. If there is any problem with a warranty replacement, the customer must return the replacement to BUILT or its authorized agent to receive an additional replacement.


To redeem your warranty on an item purchased at builtny.com, you must provide BUILT with a photo of the damaged or defective item, along with an order number or receipt showing that the product was purchased from builtny.com within the past year. If the item was purchased on builtny.com and was given as a gift, we will use our commercially reasonable efforts to try to locate the order, however, we cannot guarantee a replacement if the claimant does not furnish this required information.

To redeem your warranty on an item purchased from an authorized BUILT reseller, please return the product to the reseller for an exchange or refund. If you are unable to obtain an exchange, BUILT may, in its sole discretion, replace the item on a case-by-case basis. You must contact our customer care team and provide BUILT with a photo of the damaged or defective item and proof that the item was purchased within the last year (e.g., a receipt).
